About Me!
Basics
My name is pcbcat (also known as 泡茶猫, a name given to me by a Chinese friend).
I am a self-taught developer, a fan of the demoscene and demo parties, an advocate for piracy with the rise of greedy companies, and a future computer hardware engineer. I also live in the US.
Current programming languages I know:
Planned languages and APIs to learn:
In addition, I am learning Pascal and 6502 assembly.
Languages
I am also trilingual, speaking the following languages:
-
en-US/ English — Native, approximately CEFR C2; I grew up in California. -
es/ Español — CEFR A1; I am required to study it in high school.- Note: There is no specific regional variety associated with my coursework. It appears to be primarily a mixture of U.S. Spanish and Mexican Spanish, with some influence from Spanish as spoken in Spain. I’m also incapable of rolling my tongue, so I just sound stupid, lol.
-
zh-Hans-CN/ 简体中文(中国大陆) — HSK 1; learned for fun.
Backstory
In the 5th grade, I found out about Windows 95 and old computers and quickly developed an obsession. In 6th grade, I discovered the Revision demoparty, the Assembly demoparty, and many creations from the scene.
In the 7th grade, I found out about C and Python and shortly started developing things with them. I also found out about Linux, and I’ve been daily-driving it ever since.
As of now, I’m learning Mandarin Chinese as a native English speaker, and it’s pretty fun. I’m also learning Spanish at school because it’s required.
Not only that, but I take multiple other fun classes such as Integrated Math II, Chemistry Honors, and Intro to Engineering Design.
